Big news for Malaysian exporters and investors — as of 1 October 2025, the Malaysia–United Arab Emirates Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (MY–UAE CEPA) is officially in force.
This milestone marks Malaysia’s first-ever free trade partnership with a Middle Eastern country, paving the way for deeper trade, service, and investment collaborations between both nations.
Through CEPA, Malaysia strengthens its role as a key ASEAN trading partner, while the UAE continues to position itself as the regional hub for commerce across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
