SIRIM is an appointed agency by Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) as the Certifying Agency (CA) for Communication and Multimedia products under the Communication and Multimedia Acts (CMA) 1998, Communications and Multimedia (Technical Standards) Regulations 2000.
SIRIM responsible to process and issue import permit to all communications and multimedia products as according to Customs Act 1967.
